Great list! I personally felt that Dune 2 was my favourite this year, in my theatre. I just watched Alien Romulus a week ago and was impressed, but not as much as with Dune.

I like this list! I thoroughly enjoyed some of these movies and I'm yet to watch Abigail and Smile 2 though I have them. Now I think I want to watch them sooner rather than later. Sound is easily my favourite part of a great movie watching experience.

Shane, very good list and So glad you mentioned "Twisters" at the end, because we watched Twister and it sounded SO GREAT, i loved every moment, especially the opening tornado. Then we watched Twisters and it seemed like the sound was lacking compared to the first. Visuals looked better, but sound seemed lower. I did not turn it up beyond my reference, but I might now and see if it gives it the oomph it needs.

Again great list, Alien Romulus is also on top of mine!

It’s sad that people will watch these movies on streaming services and won’t understand what you are talking about. The best audio and video is experienced with Blu-ray / UHD or kaleidoscope, no streaming comes close.
