As an accounting major who’s about to graduate I’m actually a little overwhelmed with all the paths I can take tbh which isn’t a bad problem to have but it’s hard to make a choice honestly

I see Accounting is a JOKER card and I believe this is a short statement wrapping up what you've mentioned, so I agree. You can go to non-niche career paths like: IT auditing, to Corporate Finance, to Financial Planning, to ERP consultancy, etc using Accounting degree.

And yes, I hold a bachelor's in Accounting 😃

1. Economics 2. Finance 3. Business IT/Data 4. Accounting 5. Marketing/Sales…I work for an RIA, my friends that are Accountants seem to enjoy the work they do less than me 😅. I have a BA in Economics and MS in Finance so I’m biased 🤷🏾‍♂️

Cleveland Ohio is not hiring business management degrees in supply chain, clerk work, marketing or hr without experience and it's entry level it's so sad. If I would have known accounting or marketing would have been the better route I wouldn't even waisted my time in school it's fustrating.

As someone who works in FI at a BBIB, this list appears incredibly biased to me.

Economics is a far superior undergrad major than finance in almost every respect. You study a higher level of mathematics, get the opportunity to understand macro events/ decision making, and get a healthy amount of exposurw to data analytics (econometrics).
I would personally recommend economics over every major you listed except data analytics.
