Power Supplies 101 - Introduction
Показать описание
Lets talk power supplies, this is the start of a series on looking at power supplies for various projects and from various sources.
In the later videos we'll look at specific manufacturers power supplies and what makes them Good or Bad. Cheap or Expensive
In this intro I will go through a few types of power sources for your projects, where you can get them (If applicable) and what may be the drawbacks of some
With respect to ready built power supplies, I will cover a selection from Ebay specials through to high end units from Phoenix Connect
you can get the better ones from RS Components who kindly provided a few versions for review and to use with my projects at no cost to me. There are no pre conceptions about providing a good review for them, if they're bad, I'll call it out.
For batteries I would suggest a reputable source (Ever Ready, Duracell, Eneloop, Panasonic, Samsung etc)
If your project is truly low power then an Alkaline may work for you, if not then try NiMH if you want the same size and roughly the same voltage cells, otherwise it makes sense these days to look at LIPO type batteries
Obviously I cant cover everything in one video or even many videos. and every project has different demands for volts, current and power, never mind environmental conditions.
