i was struggling with logs but after i watched your videos i regained confidence to solve more problems

Thanks for the amazing video. However, just a querie as to why you wouldn't be able to solve for x by changing 5^x = 17 to log Form. If you put log base 5 to 17 in the calculator, you would be able to solve for x. Why the hassle of changing the base?

So at the beginnig it should be a^m, its a bit confusing

17 has an esthetic of its own.
The fact that it cannot be reduced to obviousness lends it charm.
