Machine language is the most basic level of programming language, consisting of binary code (0s and 1s) that a computer's central processing unit (CPU) can execute directly. It is the only language that the hardware of a computer understands without any translation.
Assembly language is a low-level programming language that serves as a bridge between machine language and higher-level languages. It uses symbolic code (called mnemonics) that represents machine-level instructions, making it slightly more understandable for humans compared to binary machine code. Each instruction in assembly language corresponds to a single machine language instruction.
