The Christian church lost focus on the very foundation of our faith, the very ladder we reach Heaven with, the understanding of WHY it happened and the goal here on earth. Simply put, a church not focused on spreading the gospel has unsaved believers in Jesus who might not know WHY they believe in Jesus or what He initially did FOR them and why it STILL matters today. We must understand the whole Gospel if we’re gonna claim to be Christians, otherwise we’ve literally been putting up a front and are actually just unsaved, doing the best we can at being holy while still wandering about without the light in us.
That light is the greatest miracle anybody can ever experience. Salvation is only available through the gospel, why doesn’t every professed Christian know it/spread it? Why have we become just another creed and let our light dim? That light IS the Gospel, the power unto salvation and the authority that the Christian Church THINKS it still has is in believing the whole Gospel, start to finish, sinner to saved, lost to found, hell to heaven, stranger to child.
If we don’t preach the Gospel, not only to the lost but to our congregation then how shall we then receive the Holy Spirit? No Gospel, no Holy Spirit, no Holy Spirit no understanding of Scripture, no understanding of Scripture??
Oof! Don’t open that can of worms, let’s just say it leads to a worldly church doing what the world/sinners want instead of what God wants, even if we slap a little Jesus on it.
Know God through Jesus, through the Gospel, spread it, there are lost souls clapping their hands to music sweatin their brows off praising God and don’t even truly know why but they love Him. Tell them why.
