The yellow silicone bungs should be held in by the back crimp, the stripped wire by the front 👍🏻

Looks to be the most correct assembly I've seen so far. The rear (larger) crimp is meant to grip the insulation to help prevent pulling out and copper fractures caused by movement where the copper exits the the insulation. But then looking at the silicone bung, it looks deliberately made to take that rear end crimp, perhaps to ensure a seal at that point. Trouble with being a Gemini, I end up arguing with myself 🤣

This is the most accurate description of how to do the crimps. I’ve only done a few and have had trouble with the rear crimp on the wire insulation, now I’m ready to try some more.

I bought a packet of these from Amazon about 3 years ago. Finally a reason to use them the other day. Got the packet out and thought what the FXXXXK do I do with these? I ended up soldering and heat shrinking the cable onto my brand new bike's wiring, which I really didn't want to do. Sitting here a week later I thought, wonder if there's a post on YouTube? Of course there is! Thank you 1000% so easy to follow and concise. I'm off to pull all the panels off my Can-Am Spyder RTL & do the job I wanted to do in the first place. Bought the tools from you & sent a couple of coffers over to you too - Cheers matey!

The yellow silicone water proof plug should be crimped at the very end of the terminal, I also drop a smidtion of solder after I crimp the terminal for added strength

Nice simple quick explanation. Thanks.... The Americans call these crimp connectors "dupont" connectors for reasons only Americans would know.

Very informative video. An excellent demonstration of how to create an extension cable for the likes of a trickle charger. Plus we get a shopping list as well, thanks very much, greatly appreciated.

Great video. Thanks for sharing as couldn't find any good info anywhere. Do you do anything to protect the disconnected plug (on the car) from moisture ingress? Ie plug it with a blanked female plug or something?

Ima he honest these connectors are terribly hard to get working I’ve spent like 5 hours on them and they don’t work. I’m just gonna solder directly I guess.
