Compress Word File In Ms Word & Compress Word File On Internet

Reducing the file size of a Microsoft Word document can be done through several methods for easing handling and also swift of mailing or sending/ receiving.
In this video I share 3 methods for reducing the size of the file & each method reduce different size of the file. All the 3 methods regarding reducing the files sizes/ results are mentioned below:-

Method 1: file first size 506 KB File 2nd Size 188 KB (Done in Ms Word)
Method 2: file first size 506 KB File 2nd Size 82.1 KB (Done on Internet)

Few Important steps:
1. Compress Images
Images are often the biggest contributors to large file sizes because images/ pictures carry more data than the simple text we write or share. Compressing them can significantly reduce the overall size.
• Windows:
1. Select an image in your document.
2. Go to the "Picture Format" tab.
3. Click "Compress Pictures" in the "Adjust" group.
4. In the dialog box, choose your compression options. You can choose to apply it to all pictures in the document and select the desired resolution.
5. Click "OK" & finally press save to the entire file to ensure the safety of the file and along with its change made to it.
2. Save the Document in a Different Format
Saving the document in a different format can sometimes reduce file size.
• Save as a .docx: This format is more efficient than the older .doc format.
1. Go to "File" then "Save As".
2. Choose ".docx" from the "Save as type" dropdown.
3. Remove Unused Fonts and Embedded Fonts
If your document contains many different fonts, it can increase file size.
• Go to "File" then "Options" then "Save".
• Uncheck "Embed fonts in the file".
4. Reduce the Number of Pages
If possible, reducing the number of pages or consolidating content can help decrease the file size.
5. Remove Personal Information and Hidden Data
Removing metadata and other hidden data can reduce the file size.
• Go to "File" then "Info".
• Click "Check for Issues" and select "Inspect Document".
• Follow the prompts to remove hidden data.
6. Compress the File
Compressing the Word file using a ZIP tool can also reduce the file size.
• Right-click on the file.
• Select "Send to" then "Compressed (zipped) folder".
7. Use Third-Party Tools
There are many online websites which provide free services/ tools/ software which reduce file size of Word documents.
