If we purchase the claris bundle does it come with FileMaker cloud ?

Considering the claris cloud & go apps are not yet released neither a date on their launch.

I am a small law office and I built a little practice management software. I also built a few other little apps. They are so useful but it took a long time to get them right and learn to deve for Filemaker.,

I find all of this quite maddening.

So much easier to watch these videos. Also, I recall there was talk of Claris Pro becoming available for individuals to develop solutions at no cost, only paying when a solution is deployed. Is this still in the pipeline?

i appreciate you folks putting this out there, especially you marc! i'm making some career changes that will involve claris, and am pretty sure your firm will be prominent in my crash course activation, and i suspect claris - or even you folks know what to offer me just yet, much less for how much. i'd like to get all this done before end of year (fuck christmas, i'm busy!) or at latest by end of january. the military sort of ruined me so i can only do stuff like this in hurry up mode, lol! veterans rock 💪🏻

Claris is doing a great job of complicating their offerings and scaring Filemaker users away from a money grabbing, complex, confusing product offering. The entire things just seems like a alot of work and too complex. I dread having to figure it out and migrate to it.

So, this is quite confusing to me: I actually just purchased the bundle (as the current price is VERY attractive over purchasing these components individually) However, because there is no Claris Cloud (and that is one of the main products I need), my bundle includes Filemaker Cloud. It also includes Claris Connect, and I have to say, contrary to what it seems to say on the page you showed, Claris Connect works just perfectly fine with Filemaker Cloud and perfectly feeds data to it, received via external webhooks (so not sure what they mean by: it only works with Claris but not Filemaker (I guess it works with Filemaker through the Data API; maybe it works with Claris directly? Would that save on the costly action limits???)--sure hope that doesn't change because they talked me into a multi-year contract. Lastly, I also own Claris Studio, but have no idea yet what I may need it for.
So: I can't use Claris Studio at all with my Filemaker Cloud? (again, Claris Connect works perfectly fine with it)? Also, when Claris Cloud comes out, will I need to convert my Filemaker Cloud solution to Claris Cloud??? Should I, even if I don't NEED to?
Lastly: Is this just the first step of Claris completely dropping the Filemaker product line? Not likely they will keep 2 separate product lines which almost do exactly the same? That seems like a logistical nightmare for any software company!

I'm reminded of how Amazon pulled the rug from under *'Parlour'* because they wouldn't conform to their set of _values_ destroying their site overnight. That said, having Claris host something someone may have spent years creating only for Apple/Claris destroy them for the very same reason is too much of a risk for me to consider, especially as a Christian with traditional values.

I used to build apps in FileMaker 19 and am thankful that at least for now, they still allow you to purchase the stand-alone app *Claris FileMaker Pro 2023* which I may purchase to finish a couple of the Apps I was working on, but at £475 + VAT _(£558)_ that's a bitter pill to swallow.

claris should either go with filemaker or completely change this to claris and discontinue filemaker, this is also hard for developers why they are creating such distinction with such an expensive product.

Well, congratuations to Claris. We are not prepared to deal with all new changes. New products simply not ready. Why bother adopting/waiting again? Better spend time with an alternative product avoiding all new licensing issues as well. We are looking at Ninox or Apex. Currently requiring 25 licenses for testing only but need 250+ once adopted in our company. With heavy heart, Bye Bye Filemaker!

If you sat down and brainstormed how to make this all as complicated as possible, you might not be able to devise what Claris has come up with here.

No one knows what all this stuff is for, how it connect, what the changes are. Ugh.
