Start sequence should be 3, 4, 2 and 1:). I was an engine man (Sooty) on the J from entry into service in the RAF until 2012 when I left. They really done a good job of this with all the panels AMU, CNMU's, HDD's etc.

Aux Hydraulic Pump on, emergency brakes selected, parking break set before starting an Engine. :)

I believe the AUX Pump provides hydraulic power to the brakes if #2 engine quits. We always left it on in ground ops and turned it on as part of the After Landing Checklist. In the old days F and R models We started the GTC (gas turbine compressor), which was on the port side and then the closest engine which was #2 so as to provide maximum air pressure for start. J Birds must be free turbines now. My 2 cents.

Im trying to start the APU, im holding the APU start switch, the light lights up but the rpm doesnt go up. Do you know whats happening? Version 6.8 btw

For some reason the engines in my Hercules don't seem to respond to throttle via my keyboard or HOTAS at all. I've tried turning the engines on and off, and rebinding my keys but it doesn't work.
