One of the best and most well known JRPGs is Persona 5, this year I finally finished the mammoth of a game that it is and thought I'd talk about my experience with it! After all, it took me 5 years to finish so I certainly spent a lot of time with it!

Thank you for watching!

The best experience for the game is when you don't have expectations at all for it i played because the music was good and it is really good
But took me 2 years got it on the switch played it then was faced with the turn based combat and dropped it till I accepted this combat after hsr and hoo boy its good

Bro this resonates so hard, I took about 3-4 years to finish P5 also. It took me 135 hours for my first playthrough, and I didn't even get to the 3rd DLC semester.

I was obsessed with P5R and spent almost everyday playing it.
That took me 5 months to finish it.
Is long

I've started P3 Reload now

Can't wait to announce in 20 years time that I finally finished Persona 5 Royal
That being said, this is easily one of my favourite games now, definitely recommend 😆

nah such a normal thing cuz like I bought P4G back in 2017, still have not finished it :) context given I haven't picked it up since 2018's hectic transition to university and losing the save file around the same time. I also took time with my earliest pokemon game, coming back a year or two after, because I finally had enough brain cells as a 10 year old to know how elemental advantages worked.

Im glad im not the only one with this experience. Put at least 300 hours in P5 between base game and Royal with several restarts and platform changes.

About to beat Royal for the first time finally clocking in close to 150 hours.

Eventhough it took you 5 years, I'm glad you experienced Peak Cinema.

I started persona 5 during 2021 and am still working on it. I pick it up every few months and play for a week or two or so. I’m about to start Akechi’s dungeon. It may take me 10 years to finish it at this rate lol

P5R certainly has its stellar moments, enjoyed the game alot myself. Certainly in my top 3 JRPG combat systems, though I wished the game played a little more with them. Persona 4 should definitely be right up your alley (if you get over the rougher dungeon designs)

I find this a really interesting phenomenon. I also struggled with Persona 5 (and Dark Souls) initially but after many years I finally ended up finishing them and "got it", and now I've played all other Persona games (and soulslikes) with much more ease and they became some of my favorite games. But part of me wonders if they're actually good games if apparently so many people struggle with them? From what I've seen it also seems that the people who do end up finishing it after an initial struggle period had some sort of perspective change. Are they really worthy of recommendation then? I just think that's really interesting to think about...

After beating Persona 5 do you have any interest in playing Shin Megami Tensei? SMT V just got an enhanced port like P5, and the first Digital Devil Saga game just turned 20.
