There were plenty of justified reasons to cut Mitchell early in the season, but the way Kelsey Turned It All Around after The Olympic Break, and came back "Ready To Ride For The Brand" ruins every argument against keeping her on the Fever Roster, other than Plain Stupidity, which Lin Dunn And Christie Sides Both Excel At.

Linn Dunn CUT Alana Smith a couple of years ago. The same player that STARTS for Minnesota. Linn has a history of making questionable roster moves, and other business decisions. She was only there because Indiana was in the dumpster, and no one cared. It is time for her to retire for good.

With Dunn gone, Mitchell will stay. It took Kelsey a while to learn how to play with Clark but she learned. Look what a great team they were after the All-Star break.

I think Lin Dunn decided to move into a lesser role when they hired Krauskopf as president. I believe she's looking to scale back. As far as Mitchell is concerned I think she was tired of not winning. Unless the Fever offer her less she'll be back I think her and Clark are the most dangerous back field in the WNBA and their games go well together. I would hate to see Kelsey leave but I think she wants to stay now.

Dunn's biggest crime was hiring and supporting Sides.

They let Celeste go when they shouldn't. Not surprised they do not value Kelsey.
It took half a season, but what a 2nd half of the season was it from Kelsey and the ladies. Finished 6, got to the playoffs, just came up a tiny bit short but not by much.

Actually, the whole coaching staff needs to be replaced. The fever need coached who know how to work with and develop players to make them better. I think both Amber and Kelly are working on that.

"Keep It" Kelsey started out bad this season. Once she learned to share the rock and once she learned to catch CC's passes, she started putting up the best numbers in her life.

I'm a little mad at her for losing the last game and holding on to the ball when she was missing shots in the last few seconds and turning the ball over, but even if the Fever won that game, it was still an uphill climb for them to beat the Sun. They just aren't playing as hard ball as the Sun were. You can't be nice with them. You have to foul them back and make them think thrice before pulling one of their stunts.

HOWEVER, I will give Kelsey a big pass. Without her, the Fever wouldn't have made it that far. She was a tremendous duo with Caitlin and together along with the rest of the team, they took the Fever as far as anyone could've hoped for them and exceeded all expectations of them.

This is not true.I saw an interview awhile back.Before the Fever, hired a new president.Someone asked Dunn, what is the number 1 offseason priority.She said re-signing Kelsey Mitchell.

Sorry, she did not become a 'team player'. Seeing her pass as little as she did in the 2nd half after never doing it in the 1st half fools optimistic folks into thinking that she has. Until she lifts her eyes up when dribbling she will always be a 2 assist player at best. CC's been wide open many times and KM's clearly seen her. Whether looking to make stats for a contract year, or if she trusts herself to shoot more, both are wring and bad for the team. She sees very little of teammates position on the court because of this. And at 5'8 she's a defensive liability physically and effort-wise.

This team could win more with a better balanced 2 than KM. Beause you want the full CC court effect, unhampered by a 'me first' player.

This team will never win w/o CC. They already proved that.

No, I doubt it, I think if anything she would've stayed if Dunn was still here. This is a new front office with a new vision, if anything they're going to move on from Mitchell for sure and get their own guard next to Caitlin.

Kelly giving sides a chance to negotiate w another team as professional cutesy...they don't announce a new president during the playoffs unless they telling the players help is on the way. These two ladies...Kelly and cox are not coming over w out meaning biz. They know basketball...they want to play fast ...they know sides is not just a bad coach but can't play fast...she gone. More on sides below.

In fact Dunn wasn't going to b gone yet until she blew the kelsey negotiation w kelsey by basically saying the fever will do anything to keep kelsey and took fever negotiation power away. That same day dunn was fired and cox was announced even though not taking over till end of oct...but they had to shut up dunn and make that move official immediately instead of holding their cards close to the vest.

Did u notice dunn calls herself a Sr advisor???? Kelly nor fever gave her that title. Dunn saving face and giving herself fake importance which she has done since we were unfortunately exposed to her along w cc who had to endure for a season. Dunn was clearly fired and calling herself a Sr advisor. Fever letting her b honorary whatever and moving on. Kelly knows anything she says to sides will b public bc dunn has to show her own importance that doesn't exist...its like getting an honorary gym teacher degree w no college. No harm no foul...no cost.

So yes they are going to keep kelsey at all costs but there are different ways to sweeten the deal by ads and marketing that can exceed the max contract and not just use valuable cap money that can also get other talent.... but big mouth dunn ruined the negotiation by blabbing what kelly is thinking.

They quickly fired dunn bc she was saying everything she heard in private conversations even though wanting to withhold the hiring of cox until end of October. The move was already mad...just not announced.

On Smith they are trying to keep value so they can trade her for value or leave her for Valkurie. That is these ladies style. They are patient and keep cards close to the vest. They don't give up value by having loose lips. Kelly said Smith has great value "RIGHT NOW".

Finally on sides they giving her a chance to get a job. SHE HAS ZERO VALUE FOR HER COACHING ABILITY And these ladies know basketball. Kelly was prematurely announced when all was lost b4 game 2 of playoffs when players looked defeated already. LISTEN TO KELLY STUTTER when asked about sides AND SHE KNEW THE QUESTION WAS COMING. Did she say anything about x and o or just used generalizations only...the latter is true. They know she can't coach.

Kelly and cox know real bball. They are building pacers and fever in the same mold. They know Sides WAY over her head on basic coaching ability. Sides was banging the table after last game giving signal to friends that she is w them so hire her away from these nasty fever players like cc and fans. She has been totally uninvolved w fever future plans and her connection was only through dunn who had to b replaced earlier than the end of Oct. Sides is on an island as a lame duck trying to get a job b4 the fever announce their new coach.

Fever want to give fans what they want. We want all this drama to stop and b happy watching cc and teammates do their thing w a coach who is loved and respected. Kelly and cox already have a coach hired just like fever had Kelly had cox hired and were letting dunn sit in the gm role until cox could officially start. They could never tell big mouth dunn this and dunn also wouldn't like it.

it is bluder who recently said she is open to a new challenge once her sons season is over this year even though this deal was done a long time ago and why allison left 2 months ago bc kelly was going to run fever like pacers.
The changes were already in the works and Allison didn't fit the Pacer/cc style although glad she sounded pro cc. Wish she would have saved cc from dunn...sides and the league...but wither way the decision for fever to make a shakeup was made back then.

So everyone b patient...the leadership knows the fans and cc been through way too much to put up w anymore of last year.

We need a huge splash to get excited for next year. Cc needs to never take another profession or venue seriously and b very excited about next season.

KC on the cut, on the perimeter, running the court, she is as important as AB to CC's game. Boston on the pick and roll, Kelsey on the cut or taking advantage of double teaming CC to get open on the perimeter makes the offence cook. Lexi doing 3 and D adds to this, but KC/AB are the weapons Caitlin uses to pick apart enemy defenses. Without KC, you can safely blitz CC.

Sides is next. Either Kelly or Amber will get rid of Sides. I think it will be done gracefully. Kelly or Amber will talk to Sides and ask her to voluntarily resign as head coach or they will fire her.
