Some bus drivers are insane, they indicate in the same moment they move out, or not at all. I thought she was covering her bases, incase he moved out right away.
I suppose she wouldn't be thinking like that as a learner driver, but years of experience has taught me to react similar to how she did depending on the situation.
Usually I don't place much trust on bus drivers, or large vehicles. Including the fact they may not have seen me as they manoeuvre out.

I guess some people are saying, or maybe rather eluding (I’m expanding on the initial thought here!) that on this kinda road it’s best to stop either way because people might be departing and passing in front of the bus, and that could cause a halt on an overtake (could impede cars on other side of road, even if not there when starting the overtake as people passing could take variable times due to ability etc.) and I do agree as although it’s obviously clear, the bus has to take off essentially in the same position it would occupy in the road as it’s not very wide either side, even if there’s no clear side to take along this road (I.e dominating the middle in good and proactive defensive driving). But also saying that it’s obviously clear as bus began to signal is wrong on many accounts. Not all bus drivers are lazy or dangerous or slow with signals. Some might signal as soon as all have boarded and disembarked in waiting (even if shouldn’t people are passing) but also this means ready to take off and normally you can still stop/correct if not a learner before doing an overtake

Hi, how about if she could have slowed down as it is also a hazard pedestrians might be coming in front of bus to cross the road.If she had slowed down she could have been in a position to stop before bus when it signals .Please respond

Would I be in the wrong for letting the bus out, looks safe to do so, obviously stop behind the bus more to the centre line so the driver can see me in his mirrors

Before you fault her decision ‘ what if a passenger from the bus cross the road immediately after he or she alerted from the bus ‘ just my opinion tho

You should always give way to public transport, she should of pulled in behind the bus. Definitely a mark down.
