Tri flow or crc pfe will do the trick. Mine was making same noise and all I did was spray a good amount on that ball. Sweep left spray and then sweep right spray then sweep a few more times.

I had the same issues and maintenance was such a pain in the ass it was like every trail run you do your cleaning them right after and always having to lube them that’s why I switched over to JBA high caster uppers best decision I’ve ever made and to change the ball joints is just 3 screws and the whole ball joint is interchangeable and super easy to replace

Damn that is exactly what mine sound like fml 🤦‍♂️

You try dry lube? Especially if you’re in muddy environments a lot a bad choice for these UCAs.

Did you ever spray them with the recommended CRC Dry lube with PTFE

No grease used on them. Never... you can tell by just looking at them quickly. That's why things squeak... friction causes heat between 2 separate surfaces. Grease alleviates that heat from friction with a lubricity it maintains between the two semi-mated surfaces. That is until there's no more grease and it still moves and moves making more friction each time. Guess what??? These UCA's tend move a tiny bit (Lol!!!) while you are driving the vehicle. They move a tiny bit... like freakin' constantly. Without grease giving it's lubricity qualities, heck there's nothing to keep them cooled down except dirty silty water when you hit those puddles at Mach 1.3 and splash the h2o on the joints. That fine grit in that silty water just makes it worse when there's not a barrier around that UCA ball joint...
Mine are and have been great... for a LONG time...
I use Superlube in the grey/silver colored tube or the round tub when I have a minute or AT LEAST when I rotate my trucks tires every 1, 500k or so. Literally, including the tire rotation takes 15-20 minutes to do it all... Whether it's done in my driveway, or in the garage when it's too cold or too hot outside.
That's the problem with yours...
I promise you it is...
It's like having a brand new aquarium, then feeding the fish as much as they want every day or more, and then not taking a few minutes to do a 25% water change, cleaning 1/3 of the gravel on the bottom of the tank with a gravel vacuum and expecting it to have only crystal clear water in it... when all you've got is stinky, filthy water in the tank. Come on... It's kind of a necessity... like flushing the toilet every now and again...
Same way with these uni-ball type joints... either keep up with them by doing little bits of preventive maintenance or just run the sh#t out of them through every mud hole in Hazzard County... Just know that when they begin to squeak from no grease or maintenance... well, you were the one that choose whether you had to buy new ones to replace them or if you just kept up with the ones you already had... it's either pick one way to do it... or the other way.
In the 4 years I've owned mine, I have 67, 000k on them.
I normally go off-road a very minimum of 2 to 3 times per week. In the Fall/Winter during hunting season, it's 5 days per week minimum(in 1 day thats up to 4 times daily I am going in and up, then out & back down a very rutted & washed out trail, that's full of muddy, deep holes, steep hills, logs, rocks, ledges and other S/E Tennessee obstacles). I am NOT talking about riding or driving on a rough washboarded out gravel or pitted dirt road at 5 to 15 mph.
You will be very surprised to see that generally, most of your sh#t you keep up with on even a semi-regular basis... will usually end up keeping you out of sh#t creek, as well as all the sh#tty squeaks & smells that go with it.

Mine has been having the same issue and I have not been able to fix it for months now. Did you end up fixing yours and may I ask how?
