Liturgical Music
Great Friday Evening - Holy Week
Aloha & Welcome!
Glory to the Father, Son & Holy Spirit
The Life of all, in accordance with the law of the dead, submits to the tomb and shows it to be the fountain of Resurrection, for the salvation us, who sing: Blessed are You O God our deliverer
Ineffable wonder! He who saved
the righteous youths from the fire of the furnace, is placed in the grave a breathless corpse, for the salvation of us who sing: Blessed are You O God our deliverer.
Ὠδὴ ηʹ. .
We bless Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the Lord
.
The courage of the Disciples failed. But Joseph of Arimathea shows valor; for beholding the God of all, dead and naked, he asked for Him and arrayed Him, crying out: "O you youths bless Him; you priests praise Him; and you people, exalt Him to all the ages."
(Chanters Fr. John Kuehnle & Debra Bressem)
