LG G5 in 2018: Still Worth it? Budget Android Phones Discussion

Today I look at the LG G5 and discuss whether or not the phone is a good idea to have in 2018.

Dude. I still have my G5. It's my backup phone. It handles pretty much anything I throw at it. It has lasted longer than my Note8. Which recently decided to shit the bed and boot loop when I tried to charge it. The only problem my G5 has is the screen. It has a ghosting affect after the hundreds of hours it has faithfully served me. But I got my money's worth out of it. I can recommend this phone in 2018 to anyone looking for a reliable and cheap phone. Good performance. It still takes good photos. Has expandable storage. Replaceable battery. IR blaster. Loud speaker. Usb type C. Headphones jack. And mine had a solid construction. I'd buy this over a 2018 budget phone in a heartbeat. For around 100 bux, it's a damn good deal.

I got my phone last year September 2017 and im still stuck at 6.0 for some reason and my battery is bad asf since im a heavy user..
Can you explain why it's still on 6.0?

You can use some bluelight filter app. To eliminate the image retention

Ok lg v20 pretty much the same spects as you said but price in a refurbish unit would be triple. I been using lg g5 and it is amazing. Not to mention that if some part stops working you can easily and cheaply replace that part by yourself. It is up to you. You said the price on a refurbisbed lg5, now make the comparison to get the lg v20 however comparative doesnt make any sense because after all no one of those would get Oreo so if you are looking for a temporary phone go with lg g5. 70 bucks snapdragon 820 4 gb ram and amazing camera (4k recording)

Do not upgrade it to Android 8. The battery will not be able to last for half day modest use after upgrading.
