After losing my G5 to a drop in water, I upgraded to the G6. I love it! I'll miss the IR blaster, but I can't afford to lose a phone to 2 second exposure to water.

The G5, which I own is a pretty solid device. Yes the module thing was a flop and yes the build quality is questionable, but overall it's a great phone. No lag even after a year, the removable battery is great for me, the IR blaster is something I use on a daily, and the camera takes excellent pics. The G6 is awfully appealing, though not enough to drop my G5 just yet.

Why does everyone harp on about the modular thing. The G5 was a normal smartphone first and foremost with the ability for modules. You didn't have to use the modular part. It wasn't a modular device to which a phone was attached. It was a good phone. Good specs, good camera just like all phones last year.

The G5 has a better front facing camera, LG really dropped the ball this year. They focused too much on design over functionality and performance

people are sleeping on that removable battery of g5. I haven't charged my phone in sooo long. just charge another battery while I'm using mine, and switch them out when it's dying.

Now that you can get the LG G5 used or regfurbed for <$170 it's the best budget phone out there and will stay that way for years. About to order one for my sister, and then I'll also be able to see if I want to upgrade to it from my G4 or wait for the G6 or leave LG completely

Just brought this in 2021. Its costs only $80 USD and you can upgrade the battery to a 5700mah battery for $15 via Aliexpress. Hope this helps.

I love the lg g5 better picture quality is excellent on the phone.The g6 only have 5 mega pixels in front where as the g5 has 8 mega pixels in the front.I love everything about the lg g5 great review👍
