I think this is great for a "maintenance" wash. A quick touch-up and back to shine. If a vehicle is truly dirty, I believe the added lubrication plus the pressure washer is safer. You are 100% correct though in this being efficient or effective, BUT it truly depends on the vehicle and condition.

I do both systems, I do think the power washer is best when it comes to wheels and dirt under fender wells, chassis etc

I love how he said 25% of the time then says the regular wash take 1 hour and the rinse less can take 25 min 😂

I think where the bucket/foam wash is safer is on a really dirty car, you have a lot more lubricity present from the soap on the towel, and foam on the paint, just by the sheer volume of it, especially if you use the same multi towel method. IMO. I 100% agree on the time side. I can wash all 3 of my cars with a rinseless wash in the time it takes me to wash 1 car traditionally. I typically do a rinseless if my car just needs to get the pollen off.

The problem is that it does not work for dirty vehicles in rural America with dirt roads. Also, how about the wheels and wheel Wells when they get full of mud?

Use two bucket method with 5-6 mitts. Also, scratches and swirls mostly happen during drying, not washing if washing is done properly.

So I have been using rinseless washes for a long time. I used optimum for years, but switched in the past 5 years to Fuzion and Wipeout by american detailer garage. My wash times have gotten faster, I use it for a multitude of things, and makes a better clay lubricant and glass cleaner!

Rinseless is king. I can do my F150 in about 10 minutes. Instantly become my go to for mobile detailing.

The first wipe on the rinseless will not scratch, once you wipe the second time on the same panel, you are rubbing the dirt from the first wipe on the second section. Unless you are going to use 50 micro fiber towels and only do a single wipe per towel section.

What about the wheels, tires and fender wells?

What is your threshold for choosing between rinseless and traditional washing in terms of amount of dirt and debris. Is it for just maintenance washes or can it be applied to more heavy soil situations and how would iron bug/tar decontamination work with it.

What if the car is dirtier and need to do the bucket /foam cannon method . What soap do you recommend?

Luke have you tried P & S Absolute? In my humble opinion Ithe Absolute has more lubricity than ONR and it is a pleasure to work with using distilled water. If you try it let me know what you think!

Okay okay. Makes perfect sense. I’ll try this method for sure.

The key to rinseless washing is to pre treat the car by spray it with rinseless solution to help dissolve & emulsify the dirt before contacting washing. Pre treating also protect the paint more as well. I personally find the sponge to work better than microfiber towels.

I usually spray some kind of soap, rinse it, blow dry use rinseless.

What if the car is dirty? Do you still use rinseless wash

Wow! I usually watch videos at 2x speed, but I had to dial you back to 1.5x speed. I use Meguiars Hyper Wash to foam the car, let it dwell for a few minutes, rinse it off with DIY rinse-less wash v2, then contact wash with DIY rinse-less wash v2 and towel dry.

the microfiber towels quality matters a lot in the rinseless wash ? like the one i get from walmart is ok ? or when it comes to rinseless there is a dedicated go to microfiber best suited for rinseless ? i guess the red or black sponge will not be a good thing since it requires a 2 bucket method ?

you have convinced me to try this, once again very good video Luke....I'm mobile...using this method I would like to ditch the pressure washer altogether but as soon as I don't bring it they'll have rubber mat or weather techs. oh well I be happy to speed up washes though....thanks again
