Their parents are disgusting for even allowing it. This tradition is obviously out dated and needs to be stopped immediately. Criminal charges need to start being handed out so these parents and young men learn that this can no longer be ok.

This is literally sickening. Women are not chattel or cattle and an assault on women such as shown here is just the highest form of disrespect. These young men have been raised with shocking values and listening to their words is highly disturbing.

i witnessed a ‘grabbing’ in person once, and it took every fiber in my body to hold myself back from trying to kick the man into the head and rescue the girl. she was screaming and bawling, and i was bawling too, but i knew of course that if i stepped foot anywhere near the men that surrounded her, i would’ve been walloped and beaten. they are barbaric. i felt traumatized after seeing it and it pained me to walk away.. i can only imagine how that girl and all those poor girls feel, given the fact that that (sexual assault/rape) is normal and accepted within their community. it is absolutely f*cking horrendous. and they call it a part of their culture?? horrific. their ‘culture’ is not culture at all, it’s completely corrupted; fuelled by deep generational trauma. the girls and women are viewed as nothing but objects, right from the moment they’re born, where they’re taught and expected to perform and flaunt all in the name of reputation, pride and the male gaze, all the while being controlled by repulsive men who have no respect for themselves, let alone any other living being.
i live around an area that’s heavily populated by travelers, so i’ve witnessed a lot of various behaviors exerted by them. of course not every traveler fits into the same box. i’ve met some lovely traveller women, and not every traveller man will ‘grab’, but generally speaking from what i’ve seen and learnt, they all tend to share the same morals, interests and goals.. which more than often comes down to extravagance, money, animal abuse, generalized domestic violence and marrying off their young.
there’s so much to say, but there’s no need to say anymore here, so i’ll just finish by saying that i wish all the women that are a part of that community nothing but freedom and true contentment & love in their lives.
