I was convinced for over 20 years that being vegan was the way to exceptional health. The story of the Blue Zones helped cement that in my mind. I tried to go whole food plant-based several times but always went back to eating meat. It is videos like this that make me realize that I fell for the lies for over two decades! I am glad that I know the truth now and want to thank you for exposing the lies.

I watched the blue zones on Netflix, what a bs. He forgot to mention meat and all animal products those people eat. What a another propaganda! I'm sick and tired of those lies.

Last year, a cardiologist gaslighted me and told me that the keto/cornivore diet was dangerous, especially since I am diabetic with known CAD. He tried to sell me on a plant based Mediterranean diet (lots of breads, grains, pasta, vegetables and FRUITS). Then he started on the usual Vegan rant about the "Blue Zone" populations. At the end of my office visit, he told me I did not need to see him again if I would not take a PCSK-9 inhibitor to lower my LDL-C of 130mg/dL down to 20mg/dL. You cannot make this stuff up. Many American cardiologists will just not give up the "cholesterol-heart" hypothesis!

So I spent 700 euro on a rare early 1900’’s cookbook from Sardinia
To check the validity of the bluestone claim that Sardinians eat 45% whole grains. Anyone want to guess how many whole grain dishes were in the cook book out of 69 dishes? That would be two! Legumes much more prevalent but almost always used in sauces.

I am Italian, our recipes are hugely based on what mediterran principal activities were: shepherd and fishing. Sardinian are described has vegetarian... try to visit them: their whole recipes are based first on pork and after on dairy and sheep meat. In souther area like Calabria, Puglia, Campania, Basilicata, there is an huge farm of podolian cattle for the production of Caciocavallo. Calabria that the ancient roman called Vitulia that means "land of calf" is also based a lot on pork meat. In Italy we eat also horse meat, Puglia and Sicilia are specialized on it. I can keep describing every Italian region but i am concentrate only on the mediterranean area, the south, in the North there is a major culture about beef meat and butter, in the south adult beef are used more for the production of dairy while pork and chicken are the most consumed meat.
P.S.: and i have forgotten recipes based on fish.

Hongkong should be a blue zone as well since they have historically had a long life spans. But they are also known for a meat heavy diet. Guess that disqualifies them.

I was born in Loma Linda, (a blue zone). I was raised SDA and vegetarian until I learned the truth about 10 years ago, (carnivore now)! My mother was born in LL, her father was born in LL. My grandma cooked with lard, ate meat, food from her garden, and made her own bread from scratch on occasion. I can remember conversations about the older generation that wouldn't give up meat. My mother's generation went vegetarian with eggs and milk.. That first generation born in early 1900's is where LL got the blue zone reputation. Younger generations who are vegans eating seed oils are not living past 70-80, and my generation SDA's who are vegan are already having health problems in their 50's.

I've lived in Okinawa for over 30 years and pork and seafood is a significant portion of the diet. Sweet potato is a side dish that is occasionally eaten. Much more rice is eaten here just like in Japan.

That’s shows the nutritional strength of meat, eggs and dairy. It offsets or overcomes the detrimental effects of vegetables and fruit.

Hello Dr Baker. I am from Greece and I can share info about Ikaria island. They eat everyday mostly meat, fish and animal products. They are not carnivores as we do because they also eat vegetables, but the ones that they grow in the traditional way without chemicals.
But the most important part of their way of life is that they are a stress-free land. If you go there and see you that you are under big city rythms they will not interact with you. And many times they deny their services to toxic people.

The #3 top viewed show on Netflix right now is a blue zone "documentary" series called "Live to 100". This is how the lies spread so quickly. I didn't watch it.
