Actually my most used gear is another camera, DJI Pocket 2, it helps me create POV vlogs, and it has built in mic that works really well.

I like my Manfrotto PIXI Mini Tripod. It's handy, small and lightweight. Very good for smaller cameras. Easy to take with in camera bag just in case.

I also have an a7iv. The wifi connectivity on it is amazing, low latency video monitoring and the app is great for downloading photos.
But I have this issue and I've been wondering if it's juts my camera or just my phone. Every time I do the first connection to it on my phone (I have an iphone 13p) it will connect and I can go browse my photos but within 5 ish seconds it will disconnect.
The second connection will be rock solid and will work for as long as I need it to. It's a little frustrating for me as it's so close to being absolutely perfect and yet I have to double connect every time. Perhaps it's an IOS issue, but I've tried it over many IOS updates and now there is even a new sony app (the creators app) with the new firmware and I was hoping so badly that the new app will fix this issue but I still have it.
I haven't tested it enough to know exactly how long this reset takes but for me it's like every day that I use my camera I need to connect to it twice but the later connections work.

Do you have this issue also?

Hi
I suffer from a bag fetish. I have Billingham, Lowepro, ThinkTank, Manfroto, Kata, Peak Design and Tenba. I have several from each brand I also have flight cases.
My absolute favourite bags are my Domke bags. I have the original F2, which is fantastic, but the bag that is nearest to perfection is the Domke F802 Reporter’s Satchel. I use that bag most days. In the words of the late Tina Turner, simply the best, better than all the rest...
Buy it. You will not be disappointed.

I have 2 tripods (one for travelling) and a L-bracket from Manfrotto, a Pola and ND filter from B&W, SD card holder from Hama and a battery case from Think Tank, 2 camerabags from Lowepro (one shoulder bag for portrait, event etc. and a backpack for outdoor) and shoulder camerabag from Think Tank (the Retrospective) which I use for streetphotography.
I can recommend this as a replacement for your bag. I love this bag very much. Think Tank quality, easy access to my gear and it doesn't look like a camera bag (very important for going on the street). Looks great too.

I think you would like ThinkTank Retrospective to replace that old thing 😊

Peak design, pro capture clip. It allows you to have a camera on your chest with a significant clip arrangement. The downside is it doesn’t fit a super wide backpack strap.

Great ideas, Matti! One suggestion, you should put a link for any items you show. I was interested in your battery charger. No link, so I went back to your video to stop and get the name, Hahnel Cube, to search for it myself.😊 For travel, I added a very small, lightweight (1.1 pounds/498 grams) CTT-1000L Carbon Fiber Tripod by Oben to my travel bag. Worked great on a to to Iceland for astro/northern lights.

Interesting to see your travel accessories and the backpack / small bag you use. I use Cabin Max back packs when I fly - either my overhead locker size backpack or my smaller under seat backpack. Even the under seat backpack will hold an OM-1 camera with attached 150-400mm pro lens, an EM1 m3 with attached 40-150mm f2.8 pro lens, a 60mm macro and 15mm lenses, spare batteries and chargers with assorted cables, two variable ND filters, an iPad and even my studio B&W headphones. The camera bags go in my suitcase in the hold together with a monopod and small laptop. Recently got back from an excellent wildlife trip to Romania and about to go to Madeira. It’s a hard life when you are retired and doing photography and video as a hobby 🤣🤣😊😊

I have several lighting accessories, including some Pringle tubes for macro and tabletop work. 😀

Your shoulder bag reminds me of the Domke F-5XA Shoulder and Belt Bag. You might want to look at that bag or other canvas bags from Domka

My favorite accessory is a wireless shutter control. I dislike using a 2 second delay, because, there are times when I want to control exactly when the shutter will release. For most cameras you can get a wireless release from China for under $30. The release will control a single release, burst release and bulb mode. I keep the sender on a lanyard around my neck. That way I can shoot exactly when the wave comes, when the bird moves, when the kid jumps, etc. And of course I always use a tripod.

I had a Nokia 808 Pureview! I worked at Nokia many years ago and was given one. I remember going for a walk with it and taking sample HD videos and being blown away by how good it was!

I recently picked up a Wandrd 21 bag, and I really like it. I also only use one strap, the Peak Design Slide, that I use on all my digital cameras. (My film cameras get more of a variety.)

Cheers!

I do a lot of landscape and wildlife, so two essential accessories are a really good tripod and a really good camera backpack. Next is battery grips. I get battery grips for all my cameras, and factory grips are best. Probably not useful suggestions for the street photography crowd. But hey, you asked. I have the same thinktank card holders. I recommend it also. It will also hold two cfs cards in the area with the clear plastic window.

I had a Golla bag and the padded camera insert was removeable so if yours is too, why not forget about looking for a camera bag and instead look for a shoulder bag that will fit your insert? That way the new one won't look like a camera bag either and you might have much more of a choice of style and color. It might work out a lot cheaper that way too. Plus if you ever need to, you can always drop that insert into a small backpack and have room for lunch and a jacket too.

I have just bought the nisi 15 stop filter, before the solar eclipse over Australia. Was hoping to see something here 😅 but now that I can shoot the sun without worrying, but the sun is kind of boring vs the moon 😅

I also have ThinkTank, but the retroprospect 20v2 messenger bag.

Very simple, peak design capture clip and peak design leash.... Amazing how this transformed my workflow. Expensive, yes but worth every cent
