From my personal experience: Learning hiragana and katakana is like walking on a little slope. Learning kanji is like climbing a cliff.

My Japanese class gave me one week for Hiragana and one week for Katakana, which surprisingly works better than expected. Then they proceeded with 10-15 Kanjis a week, which was too much for me haha

What I did to learn hiragana and Katakan is to make mnemonics. た kinda looks like ta, so that one's easy.ら has a little r on top and an upside down a. Etc.

for weeb purposes its much better to learn katakana first because most things written in katakana are japanised english words. And its a funny chalenge to read katanka words and trying to find out which english word it is...
