When I read about Jesus in the New Testament. I get a surreal authority and sterness. He is truly loving but beyond us. I don't even imagine him smiling much but that does not mean he lacked humanity.

I would say he spoke truth and that riled people up. He also just by nature of existing healed people and cast out demons. He didn’t have to be a crazy revolutionary, his mere existence was threatening to the devil and stirred the hornets nest.

Jesus lived a life free of sin. To do that we would have to give up the sins of lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life.

The west has portrayed Jesus and some free, fun loving hippie who performs magic tricks. I know that my faith in God is completely on my shoulders but watching that my entire life diluted Jesus into some weakling. I know that’s not true but it took many years to see past the world’s influence. Listening to Jordan Peterson and Inspiring philosophy really made me look at the Bible completely differently and gave me a new appreciation for the text.

You guys ever notice when Jesus was angry it was with religious ppl? Ppl who heaped condemnation and bound ppl to absurd man made laws. Repent means change your mind. Change your mind about who God is; what God actually desires for us and from us. Change your mind about how you view the outcast of society and walk with compassion and love. FYI. The Holy Spirit is the convictor of the world so why do Christian’s think their only objective is to wipe out sin in this kingdom. Christians spend more time on sin than they do mimicking Jesus’ actions towards the broken. Christians must repent, it seems. Change your self righteous thinking.
