4464 Bittern, Switched to the fast.

LNER A4 Class 4464 "Bittern", switched to the fast line at Welham Green, opens the regulator and accelerates through the station. The trip was at one point 68 minutes behind schedule after a cow blocked the line (on the 60009, Union of South Africa - Edinburgh to York leg), but Bittern is seen here making up time, it arrived in Kings Cross, bang on schedule.

A train that long and full of passengers would probably rate two diesel-electric locomotives. The crossing-over makes this video a bit more interesting than similar ones.

A great bit of video, but if I may make so bold, the sound was all 'treble', and no bass at all....rather sibilant almost.
