4464 Bittern - The Capital Streak 07.12.2013

4464 Bittern, with the final of it's 3 90MPH 'streak' runs on the East Coast Main Line, seen here in Kings Cross at the capital. After what happened with it's first 90mph run, back in june, we did not get the best shot ever, due to being bowled by a complete pillock! So we decided to catch it at it's terminus location.
The locomotive happily hit it's 90mph target near Newark earlier that day, but was put on the 'Up Slow' from Connington down to Welwyn, due to delayed services that had to over-take it.
Over all, it was successful. Bittern is now back home at Southall, West London. She will be back out in a couple of weeks, with a Cathedrals Express back to York and return.
