This doesn’t excuse Russia because what they’re doing is reprehensible, but, why does Ukraine want other countries to put themselves on the line when they had the opportunity to join NATO in the past but decided not to. Now they’re constantly asking other countries to intervene. What can we do beyond sending money? Money that some citizens feel like could have spent domestically.
