Listening to your advice about talking to your younger self kindly, left me in tears. YOU Kathryn, are a super special, kind human being. Thank you!

You made me tear up with the "say it to that little girl." You got me. I needed to hear that. I'm not a mom, but I am learning to reparent myself and I needed to hear that. Thank you.

This so wise. As a homeschool mama of 6 years I just want to say to be patient with yourselves mamas. There will be difficult days, but so worth it. So very worth it. Something Kathryn said is so very true. As a public school teacher, 20% of our day was spent actually buckled down and working, and 80% of it was classroom management and shuffling. Don't re-create the classroom, you don't need to. Just do you, and concentrate on your family culture.

I'm a "homeschool veteran" starting our 20th year 😮 we've graduated 3 kids. These are great tips. There are so many resources online to help everyone this year (read here don't ask me I've stood on the shoulders of giants and those who have gone before me). Google your questions you'll find help. Keep up the good work Katherine! I've enjoyed your last 2 videos very much.

Just hearing you say "you are enough" made my eyes water. This is my first time teaching my son. He starts PreK and I don't feel comfortable or safe if he attends the campus and if he does distance learning he will have to sit in front of a screen for a full day of school (prek at the school close by isn't a half day) plus I also just started a new job. So now my goal of teaching him at home has been cut in half but that's ok because I still plan on at least getting a hour of school in daily. Can you share what programs or sites you trust when it comes to teaching little ones? That can help him get ready for Kindergarten next year. Also what a really cool jungle gym you have for your kids. Where did you find such a gem? If you made it this far thank you for taking time out of your day to read my comment! Love from Texas 🖤🤍🖤

WOW! That is so powerful! I have thought about how I treat myself verse how I would want my kids to treat themselves but never what I would say to myself at their age! I was also very overwhelmed at the end of last year and the anxiety of doing it again has me so anxious. I am going to dig out a picture of myself at their ages and tape it right onto my desk! Thank's for all the great tips!! I was excited to see this video. I have no idea how I am going to work full time, educate my kids and juggle all the other house stuff etc. this upcoming year but knowing we are all in the same boat helps.

I really like that you said you feel like you cant teach your kids even with a masters in teaching. That really spoke to me, because i feel that way without ANY school teaching experience! I've been feeling bad as a mom. My son has Processing Dyslexia, and I feel he is still behind where he should on his grade level. I'm changing my weekly agenda to include time to help him while being a full-time employee outside the home. I feel like he learn much better when i teach him. But Im not able "yet" to stay at home. But im working on it. Need to get my side hustle on, lol.

Thank you for sharing!

I do the picture thing! I tell my child self, "it's not your fault" - and it's the literally the most healing excersize I have ever done 💜

Kathryn, you are such a sweetheart! Words fail in trying to convey how much you inspire, encourage, and reassure us! Wish I could reach through the screen and give you a big hug. Have been watching you since you first started your channel (Luna, before kiddies arrived) and you never fail to uplift. Thank you for your beautiful spirit!💕, Kate
