That final shot stuck with me so hard. To see the transition from the past to the present day with that dance of the Osage people. That shot was just amazing.

The ending with Martin Scorsese himself reading out what happened to the real life characters was a really classy way of ending the film

was a beautiful film. very thoughtful, thrilling and telling. A lot was put into the 3 and a half hours but you don’t feel it. The crime kept getting worse. AND not to mention the Tulsa massacre, Martin Scorsese did a GREAT job!

Just watched the movie and I gotta say the story telling and character development is off the charts. By the end of the movie you can visually see Ernest conflicted especially when trying to tell the truth to Molly. This movie and Oppenheimer are the front runners for me for movie of the year by FAR. I would’ve liked to see the alternate screenplay focusing on the story as a total western.

Being native (Choctaw and Cherokee) this movie was truly a masterpiece and heartbreaking because of accuracy of what happened. Even showing that white men were purposely trying to marry Osage women to get the oil money... even now having white ancestry is a sore spot for many who are descendants of the Osage tribe because they understand much of this mixing was done through manipulation and rape of women

Between Tulsa and the tragedy of the Osage, a lot of killers never saw justice in Oklahoma. Prayers with the dead.

More movies need to be made like this about what was done to the sweet, nature-loving Native Americans. We were lied to in grade school; they covered things up and miseducated us.

Lily will win an Oscar. I can feel it ❤

I liked it, but damn they should have made it a mini series because it was too dang long. I started falling asleep by the time the FBI agents were introduced. Lily Gladstone did a phenomenal job.

I’m so glad they changed the script because making the movie a mystery movie about the beginning of the FBI would’v been to predictable and cliché.

I feel bad because much like Tulsa, I learned nothing of these events until I became an adult. I'm eager to now read the book.

Why does it seem like we are trying to soften Decaprio's character by emphasizing that he really loved her? That is not love! Just because he keeps saying he loves her doesn't make it so.

DiCaprio is in his prime, ive never felt more conflicted about an individual and how he treated his loved ones

As for DeNiro, jesus christ what a lecherous viper of a performance in Bill Hale.

This story was one I needed to hear, it makes you think of those even today mistreating indigenous groups of people, as far as how Apartheid continues in Palestine today

Doesn't need an explanation . Very clear they were all tried and sentenced . Wife remarried and died of diabetes at 50 .

Love that Scorsese himself reads Mollie's declaration at the end. Feels like a nice way of actually paying respect to the story.

Given that much of the audience came to know this story through the book, documentaries, or podcasts, the radio theatre bit (podcasts of the early 20th century) seemed fitting.

1:05 I don't think the insulin was mixed with poison. I think the insulin WAS the poison. The other stuff being added I think was some kind of tranquilizer to slow her down and keep her slow and depressed

The radio show ending was brilliant. Still in a period setting, it presented a recap in a very unique and creative way. With all white actors and slick sound effects, a completely different perspective of the same story.

What ever the politics, this is a great movie. But of great importance, it’s finally shown how Native Americans can been perceived and treated in this country. It’s about time!
