Welcome to the second installment of Ratio Retribution - a series where I 100% some of the most difficult games I can find!

This time we're playing Super Meat Boy!
A phenomenal platformer released back in 2010 by Team Meat.

Full of incredibly difficult challenges that will have you pulling your hair out in RAGE!

I had the idea to make a video on this game back when I completed the game in FEBUARY! But alas...

The universe did not want me to finish this video... A script re-write, The release of Starfield, 2 weeks of being sick, getting a cat and of course good old fashioned procrastination pushed this project back from August/September all the way to now.

But now the grind is over - I'M FREEEEEEE!

And I SHOULD be producing content at a more consistent rate!

EDIT 20/08/2024: 9 months later this entire video was manually copyright claimed by 'TuneCore' for 45 seconds of music in a cutscene, apparently they are well known for abusive copyright claims as a result to remonetize the video - the audio is messed up from 22:17 to 23:33. I hope it doesn't too greatly impact your viewing experience!



Had to re-upload because I made a mistake at the beginning and it drove me crazy but it's finally here!

Also if anyone knows what show is played at 40:42 you are a legend!

EDIT: Oh and while re-recording footage for some of the later worlds, I discovered there was a glitch level in The End I hadn't found yet but I beat it and so my final completion percentage is at 106% not 105%.

I don't usually say things like these, but this really seems like the epitome of "quality content from a small creator" videos. Like basically a 2 hour documentary by someone with mere 200 subscribers? That's extraordinarily rare!

just wanna point out that I love the "WAAAARP ZOOONEE" voiceline progressively getting shorter and shorter and shorter as the video went on, still acknowledging its presence despite how short it was there for.

10/10. concise, never stuck on a point too short nor too long, and the narration was very good and well thought-out.

29:08 damn, flywrench is my favorite character. I played most of the game as them lol. It takes some getting used to, but when you do it feels like you can fly through levels. I also like how their wall jump stays on walls

Fun Fact: If you got the game on steam, then you can put the game on window mode and click and hold on the window. The game freezes BUT you can move around. This is the glitch called "Time Freeze" (creative name I know) Since the game is frozen but Meat Boy isn't (gameplay not visually so it makes it kinda hard) you can walk through walls and WALK ON AIR. This can be helpful in the wa- *ahem* This can be helpful in the WAAARP
