I'm a former Army Special Forces medic (Green Beret) and the instructors said when I turned 60 my knees would really hurt because of the hard life style (120 lb rut sack, nighttime parachute jumps from 600 ft combat style, hard mountain operations, broken bones, etc. At 62 I was struggling to even walk. I thought my career as an airline pilot was over. The ARMY S.F. taught me many things, especially NEVER GIVE UP. I hired a personal physical coach and within 2 months I was walking great, free weight squats 265 lb 3 sets of 12 each with 30 seconds between sets. Never quit, they may quit you but you don't quit for them. Age 65 I was force to retire because airline pilots are two old to fly at 65, regardless is you can squat and bench press 300 lbs,

It looks like the reporter is thinking, "Does this guy ever pause between sentences?"
