Thanks.. nice to see you struggle as much as I did and I am probably twice your age! And you're right, a lot of patience is the correct tool.

Clamp on the workbench, that's a good idea, going to have to try that!

The ratchet strap worked brilliantly! Thank you!

Good video, thank you.

The importance of sunbathing the tire before working on it can't be overstated.

11:53 Thank you for the ratchet strap tip!! Worked like a charm on our lawnmower tire that went flat over the winter. Without the strap, it was just wobbling all over the rim and letting air out uncontrollably.

Wish I saw this years ago. Tried to change a tire on my dad's mower. Couldn't get the new one on. Ended up at a tire shop. Probably needed those tire spoons. Thanks Jeff.

Jeff, some tricks and tips of mine are to use dish soap without water, last a bit longer when it’s being difficult. You didn’t mention getting the bead of the tire below where it seats on the rim. The rim is actually designed that way so one side can slip more towards the center of the rim to slip the tire on around the rim. Lots of times you may not even need spoons to put it back on. I recently had to do this on a log splitter and didn’t even take the rim off the splitter. Sometimes with the tire on your bench lube up the rim and tire and push the rim onto the tire while turning the rim works. I would also recommend you spray your valve stem both around it and on the core to check for leaks.

Great video, Jeff. Your presentation and pacing were excellent and the bits of humor made it enjoyable to watch. Keeping ones fingers away from between the tire bead and rim during inflation was my favorite as I'm fond of my fingers and opposed to pain!

The clamp idea was perfect. Tank you so much!

Using that wood clamp to hold the tire is a great idea!

I like the cleaning part comes out a lot easier than me scrubbing with a rush. I need to do my rims. Bow covers engines, and my car and certain spots. Thank you. I believe your product will work very well.

Hey Jeff! I've been a subscriber for awhile and hadn't seen this video. I spent an hour this morning trying to mount one tire, then came to youtube for a refresher vid. Then spent the next three hours getting both tires mounted. The point is this vid didn't pop up till I sat down here this evening. Lol! Oh well, good vid as always! Thanks for posting!

Super great video. I just got my new rear tires delivered for my rider, gonna install them on the rims today. One thing most of u dont know is dish soap has patrolum distillates in it. It can eat up ur tire over time. They do make a white paste that tire repair shops use but who has tire paste laying around? I have a better idea. I am going to try Ky- jelly in a spray bottle mixed with a little water to slip on the tire to the rim. Yes, I said Ky- jelly-lol. It's water based so no deterioration later on. I also learned to NEVER use tire bead sealer to a good rim. The bead sealer will corrode a rim making the rim worse. Thanks again for a great video.

Thanks for the video and tip about the ratchet strap. My tubeless ride front tyre went flat and tyre bead on one side let go. I couldn’t get it to reseat just with compressed air but when I put the strap around it, it popped on very nicely.

This is a great video with some great tips.
One important thing I have not seen on the lawnmower tire change videos IS
, along sure the back side of the tire is in the valley of the rim so your not fighting it.
