Check out 4:00 !

Momo has been dealing with food allergies from 1/2020- 5/2020. 5 whole months!! Through it, we've gone through antibiotics and steroids 3 TIMES. It was crazy and a painful experience for Momo and for me to watch. Finally I got allergy testing done and was able to switch to a home-cooked diet that is nutritionally balanced and will reduce any inflammation and reactions!

Hopefully my story will inspire you to think outside the box, and try something different for your pup. As always, I try to keep it budget-friendly and as cheap as possible. Let me know if you have any questions!

Also did the 5Strands testing for our adult dog, and this was a great place to start. Among several other things, our boy is also allergic to a lot of the additives in kibble. I believe it's not vitamins/ minerals they are allergic to, but the synthetic versions of these which are present in nearly every kibble-based food. They have to replace the whole food vitamins/ minerals that are lost due the high processing of the food. Hope this helps. Thank you for making this helpful post!

I'm glad you've found something that works for your dog. You are a very caring dog mama. My dog is 7 and it's been years of trial and error and loads of money spent to try to get his allergies under control. I was going to go to 100% homemade, but I was worried those expensive vitamins would just cause his allergies to explode again. I now do something similar to what you are doing, and it works. He's not 100% free of his allergy problems, but it's a lot better. I buy a vegan dog kibble, as it's the only one that doesn't make him itch, and he gets 1/4 cup morning and evening. The bulk of his food comes from my homemade vegan dog food, and from some raw meat whole-prey patties that I buy from our local pet food store. My vet has been so impressed with how his coat feels now and how much healthier he looks. She's been super supportive of what we are doing. She suggested I add canned sardines to his diet as well. I buy the no-salt added, canned in water and he gets that about once a week now too.

Up front cost and time is a hardship, but like my vet told me today it is cheaper than the vet bills and better than his discomfort. Good fur-momma!👍🏻👏🏻❤️

It's called hydrolyzed protein food. The protein is broken down by process of hydrolysis. It breaks the protein down to the basic cells. The thought process is : your dog isn't allergic to chicken if they don't know the protein in from chicken. You can not hydrolyze proteins at home, not possible. Prescription needed for the dog food. It is not a long term diet. Only 6-10 weeks to reset your dogs system to then start from scratch with the elimination diet.

Hi Brittany, I just stumbled upon your channel today and I am so grateful for the information. I just ordered my 5Strands test for my Westie. I’m at my wits end with her diet. She won’t stop licking and chewing on her paws, no matter what I’ve tried. Shampoos, oils you name it😂. Can’t wait for her results. Will keep you posted. Thanks again❤

I've been doing half homemade and half kibble for 2 weeks. My dog is doing amazing! Loves her food now. The crock pot helps and I prep the food once per week on the weekends.

Hi Brittany. I just watched this video today and loved it. I appreciate all of the work/research that you had to do to make this video. My wife and I have a GSD that we think may have some food allergies. Did you ever do a follow-up video that discussed the outcome/success of feeding Momo the changed diet with the homemade ingredients? Did it give you the results that you wanted?

Girl!!!! I’m going to give the allergy testing a shot and see if it helps. If it does, I don’t know how I’ll be able to thank you. This allergy situation I’m going though with my baby is so exhausting.

Very well done! I have two large breed dogs. I cook meals. Mine, too have allergies. I cook from a Chinese perspective and use cooling proteins. Kibble and starch are inflammatory for allergies(rice, oatmeal, sweet potato). Pet Summit YouTube just posted a fabulous video with all the Dr's. who are holistic. Once you see what kibble truly is made from (not the lies on the bag) you will throw it out. Good luck.

I found two great people to watch on you tube. Karen Becker and Dan Scott.
They will help your dog with allergy problems. No kibble, steroids, no antibiotics they all kill
the gut bacteria. Seriously watch these two people and you will be more educated on dogs, it help me a lot.
