Without macros it’s still limited dramatically in what it can do, and how it can work with major corporate users. Like it or not, macros are an absolute must for all but “mom and pop” companies / users.

iPad OS Excel is one of my favourite apps that I use on my M1 iPad Pro. A few days ago, my brother sent me two photos each with a table of financial data. Using the new iPad OS 15 "live text" feature, I was able to copy all numbers in each table in a single step and then paste them into Excel as a table data I could perform further analysis on. OK, I needed to perform a little bit of clean-up to ensure all numbers pasted were treated as numbers and not text, but for me this further illustrates how powerful the iPad Pro has become, and why I now rarely use my MacBook Pro.

Hi Fernando, as what Mr. Barnes said, we don't mind seeing your face, but we'd love it if you could just make the iPad screen recording fullscreen and you can just put an overlay shape (maybe a circle) of the video of you talking in the topmost or bottom most right corner, wherever it is lesser intrusive and will not block any app features. Thank you for what you do, I hope MS keeps improving their iPadOS version of apps and hopefully GSuite follows.

For the life of me I can’t select individual cells that aren’t adjacent. On a Mac I press control and click on any cells on the sheet. But with the iPad Pro and Magic kb neither command or control works.

Great video, thx. Sadly you skipped the link function, could you do a video on that? My iPad Pro has the link button greyed out, so it’s there but I can’t find a video that shows how to enable them. All videos are how to activate options in the regular excel, not the iPad app version. If you could answer that question, that would be absolutely awesome! Tia

Theres a specific feature on excel where you can lock in a specific cell in a formula by using F4 button on a regular laptop.. does that work on ipad too?

Hi Fernando, is there anyway to select multiple non adjacent cells on the excel for iPad app? Usually with Mac you select command and click on the cells needed but doesn't seem to work with iPad. I have the new iPad Pro with magic keyboard. Is this a feature that is not available?

Hi Fernando, how do I paste especial on Excel for iPad? I mean, if I copy a series of values that are produced by using a formula, I want to copy the values and not the formula in another cell. Thanks

Excel - it really isn’t ‘Pro’ at all on the iPad is it? I mean, can’t create pivot table, can’t change tab colours, can’t set up conditional formatting. That’s not good. I still have to use my 2013 MacBook Air just to do basic things.
Anyway, great video Fernando 👊🏻 Yep I’m still watching so no need to hide away though brother! I have no issues seeing your face, I just want to see more of the iPad on these type videos 😉 Thanks 👍🏻

thanks for the video! Not sure if I am doing something wrong, but in IPadOS I couldn't find how to "refresh data" on a file created on a desktop. That for me is a big issue.

Hi at 2:10 for the multitasking feature, when you say you can open 2 different Excel sheets, do you mean you can open 2 different workbooks/Excel files at the same time? You didn’t actually demo that example, so would like to know. Thanks!
