After seeing this story I am more amazed and forever grateful for my mother.

She was a single mother with 2 kids and she managed to pull off miracle after miracle each and every month to make sure we had everything we needed.

We had 3 solid home cooked meals each and every day.

She never did trust the school lunch program, so she made sure we had a solid breakfast and a home cooked lunch packed in our lunch boxes.

All of this with a $950.00 budget a month.

I was shocked when I found out how much she made after finding her old pay checks from 1985 to 1992
I was even more shocked when I found several rent receipts that were $425.00 a month.

All of this brought tears to my eyes and now that she's gone I can't express how much more grateful I am to have had her as my mother.

Here is to all the mothers out there who make their own miracles and shelter their children from the harsh reality of the world.

Its not embarrassing. This is America and we have aid. This is truly sad. I work for the USPS and I've never seen so many eviction notices. 10 today I counted!

People with cars go around to every food bank they can until their car is stuffed with food. Some people in line can't even get food before they run out.

Stores throw out food everyday. Aldi throws out potatoes everyday. Too much waste that is not spoken of.

This is just sad. In the school district I work all kids are being given free lunches. Since we are all virtual, they given a week’s worth of lunches at once.
