Division to classes in Soviet Union was not constant. Once dominance of labour class was undoubted by everyone it ceased to exist. Since 1961 or 1962 the concept of classes was not in use any more. and the only reference to all people was : Soviet people.
There is a huge misunderstanding of Soviet Union. Soviet Union and modem left has very little common.
Modem left evolved from Trozkiy’s followers.Soviet Union was basically established by Stalin followers.
It took almost 10 years to kick out all followers of Trozkiy. They was extreme left. followers of Stalin was moderate.
The first 4 decrees of the Soviet government (1917)were: withdrawal from the 1st World War, a decree on land, the abolition of the criminalization of homosexuality, and the abolition of the institution of the family.
Few years later, when Stalin was elected as party secretary, one of his first initiatives was the repeal of Decrees 3 and 4.
It took around 10 years to clean up the Communist Party of Trotskyists.
If anyone remember what was a Kommintern, international communist organisation. It ceased to exist as result to Stalin pressure, after he gained a huge authority amount labour people.
