That statistic about how much time you spend with your children just ripped my heart out. I have a 10-year-old and an eight year old and I spend as much time as I can with them. But I can't tell you how much time we spend in front of the TV, watching a movie, or YouTube, or I'm on my phone, or I am studying for something in grad school. It made me realize that I'm wasting so much time doing things that are not productive, other than obviously grad school. Luckily, I have a job where I only work three days a week, but I recently switched to evenings for grad school. I am now second-guessing that.
