I’m regards to the flight fact, while I’m sure there was a great deal of knowledge share between airplane and rocket engineers, there could have been an alternate reality where space launches became doable without or before widespread air travel. Small rockets have been used since around the 11th century to propel arrows. Compared to planes they kind of just use brute force to move themselves forward - flinging mass backwards (as exhaust) to push themselves forwards. In some ways a rocket is easier than a plane, and once you get into space you can’t benefit from the kinds of control surfaces that planes use anyways. All this is to say, they’re related, but rockets aren’t a natural evolution of planes (not that the video made any claims of that).
