Did Elon Musk Accept Jesus?

today we are taking a trip down a short rabbit hole concerning Elon musk's conversation at The Babylon bee, where things get a little awkward. we also discuss what Elon Musk believes about God - whether he even believes that God exists, and a few of his thoughts behind creation and existence.

we also briefly discussed the nature of time and why it's logical to say that God exists outside of it, having complete control of it.

Another good video! The 5:09 clip got a gleeful chuckle out of me. When I'm done with Hebrews I might just jump into that book. I liked the flow of your point and breaking down not only the faults with the Babylon Bee fellows (though maybe you could have said more, like breaking down what faith in Christ means as a primer that casts light plainly on how foolish the "are you 70% of the way there?" was) but Elon's perspective, too: I really liked that you provided the context, too (I hadn't a clue what Spinoza's god was, but I knew by the time I got to 7:46)! Also very intriguing at 5:35! Is that a glimpse of the time-science research you'd been working several months back? At 5:54, I like that point too... was it a reference to Psalm 139:16?

I'm sure people are going to ask "where in the bible?" based on 6:24, but I liked that the point stayed on track. Plumbing the depths of God's sovereign decrees is a topic for another day, since there's a time for everything under the sun.

Lastly... I've noticed Elon really idolizes science, and when I think of him and men like him, I think of the really fitting description in Psalm 49:6-11. (Make use of it if that passage inspires you, too). When you don't place God first, you end up idolizing something else, and looking for "immortality" in legacy, riches, accomplishments... I think Musk hopes to be part of the history books. He sure might be for a few centuries... but Mark 8:36 is as relevant as ever.

It was hard to watch the end of the interview. Pretty sure one of those guys was reformed as well, so he really knew what he was and was not saying. Missed opportunity. But the Lord is in control, and none can frustrate his will.

That's interesting that he thinks the purpose of a "simulation" as he calls it is "to see what happens." If you consider the decree of God to be a simulation, I can see the engineering logic in Elon's statement,
