A few years ago a little boy in my town died from suffocation when snow from the roof collapsed on him, I never met him or his family but my grandparents and parents knew them and it was so heartbreaking. This is definitely something important to do.

Where i live we get the snow off the roofs only in spring, so that it doesn't accidentally fall and crush people, and also so that it doesn't make as much icicles which could also fall on people
