I work at in n out… whoever didn’t charge u for those chilies saved u like $2.30. Our system will charge any base fry’s if more than 3 ingredients are added. If u wanna do what did guy did just ask for a Flying Dutchman with fries with spread and grilled onion and ask if u can the chopped chilies on the counter when u receive your food. Don’t ask the register it’s annoying because we don’t have an option for chopped chilies just regular so we usually give u the whole prices at the counter. If they give u the whole chilies u kinda have to ask specifically for the chopped ones.

I’ve worked at in n out for about 6 years I even opened the new stores in Colorado and let me tell you. The reason they didn’t put chilies on your fries is because our menu system will charge you for anything over 3+ condiments on regular fries not including how your fries are cooked. And yes you pay a premium for animal fries bc the cheese last I remember is like 35 cents by itself and yes you can order slices of cheese in the side

It’s crazy to me that In and Out doesn’t charge for all the little extras and being able to get things on the side. And how they even put those extras in their own container separate. It’s really impressive.

It actually used to be that we charge 1.20$ for a cheese slice and there is two on the animal fries but yea flying Dutchman and animal fries has gone on the menu at some locations as Roadkill fries(its really rare that they actually have them on the menu though)

For those who don’t know, you pay the same amount for fries with 3 topping as you do animal fries. Make sure you grab your own chilies or ask for a side of them and not have them put on your fries already.

I've been doing this for years - but I get grilled onions and regular ones on the patties. I also like grilled onions, one special sauce packet and 2 ketchups - now everyone will be doing it - thanks a lot!!!!

It is carne asada. The ground beef is meat…cooked on the grill. Carne asada means “grilled meat”. 🥩
