Lore-wise, the Elytra is made of Dragon wings. Which is why the dragons in the end are extinct, and you can only repair the Elytra with phantom membranes, which are phantoms of dead dragons. ;)

Kind of related but Something that Annoys me that a lot of people say is that there is canon to Minecraft or that there's lore, the whole point of the game is that there's no story and YOU make it for yourself. and a Minecraft movie is no exception, the director literally said the reason it's called "a Minecraft movie" rather than "the Minecraft movie" is because this isn't THE Minecraft story, and people make their own story for the game.

Another way they could implement fruit trees would be like the mangrove propagules growing underneath the leaf block and then you break it at a certain stage of its growth.

I don't think that the things from the movie will come to the game. Just because they've just added lots of things for the sake of the film like the chuck bucket things

The only thing that's missing from the next update is a Music disc... maybe do some that give off "Warm" and "Cold" vibes as a result of the updates to the mobs plus the warmer and colder biomes.

The fabric mod Let's do: Vinery has apple and cherry trees that you can just interact with to pick fruit. There's one that adds avocado trees too but the name escapes me atm.
