I loved how you explained what checkmate is in the end 😂

King moving up the board in the open when the opponent has a Queen & rook is the most difficult move IMO. I saw the pawn push however to see that the king isn’t in danger even when so exposed is just incredibly amusing when you come across it. I always rewind the line “ What sorcery is this?”, when such moves are possible…

Early enough to see "disquisting" in the title

That engine line seems like something Magnus would play and stun his opponent 😂

Today Vaishali wins for the third time in a row. This is probably the first tournament where she plays so well and consistently against 2600+ players. She's the leader now, so if she kept it up until the end of the tournament and won, would she play the Masters next time?

She had to win this. She's been playing the Pragg variation from her childhood.

New game on move 22...I can see why some people dislike how some opening theory is so deep

Sure, when you know you have to look for a winning sequence, I think that in the calmness of their house any player above 1700 classical would find the correct move(s). The "disgusting" line shown by the engine isn't for the first move by black I calculated, but it was exhilarating once you see it. Good thing I remembered that white is already up a pawn and I was looking for tactics like that

This match was dead draw till 35 moves. White started to blunder in the end game.
Vaishali has gained 19 points after three wins and now she is world number 10 among women with 2507 elo points.

I found the move, but didn't find the queen sacrifice!

What a line!

Pranav Anand had some pretty impressive wins in the Portugese League this season, i particularly liked his wins in rounds 2 and 4 against Danyyi Dvirnyy and Del Rio de Angelis

One of the nastiest engine moves I’ve seen was from Levi’s game with the bishop sacrifice.. CRAZY

Can you imagine Vaishali and Prag in the same household.

I spotted that pawn move for white. Not easy to see, but it just makes sense.

This was too easy tbh. I found this line right after you showed me it. I'm just that good.

Peter sp. Showing what a good coaching can do to upcoming talents
The French defense line she played is mostly played by Peter and she crushed it
