this may be a simple question but just to clarify for a brute force attack on cipher that has a plain and cipher text of 5 bits and key lenth of 3 bits is is 2 the power of 3 because there assuming the keys are binary so a key will be either 0 or 1 ( 2 choices) and then to the power of 3 means how many different sets of 3 can we get from ( the zeros and ones if each bit is a zero or 1)
