Great video. My freezer was not cooling well. This video showed how to get at the coils and fan, and I found that the air intake on the bottom and the drain were frozen solid which prevented air from being circulated through the coils. THANK YOU!

I think the seal is shot. The alarm sounds on and off, the door doesn’t suck shut like it used too and the food on the door and in front isn’t frozen solid.

I would hugely appreciate your guidance on my broken Frigidaire Upright which is 100% down, and I can't get someone in to even look at it with the stay at home laws. Here is what I am seeing:

Condenser does not have any frost whatsoever. The condenser fan however is operating perfectly.

It doesn't appear my compressor is coming on at all, as it feels room temp and never shows any vibration. I pulled the start capacitor ahead if the compressor, and it tests perfect using a capacitance test on a high end multimeter.

What other testing can I do around the compressor like the switch that controls it? Can I test the compressor for functionality other than the electrical leads showing closed circuits?

Finally, if I can confirm a bad compressor if this a repair in could do myself? I'm reasonably skilled, but replacing pneumatic components is intimidating.

I really appreciate any guidance given these times.

As it stands now I have a Frigidaire model FFU7FC4AW1, the temp while running is 60 degrees - 70 degrees. I'm uncertain of which route to go ?

I've got a 17 year old Frigidaire upright freezer, model FFU1464DW2. We just noticed it's running all of the time. We emptied it out today and defrosted it. There was ice clogging up the drain tube. I used a hair dryer and got the ice out. We blew the lint off the bottom. (it was pretty clean) We stocked it back up and it's still running constantly. It's keeping good temperature at zero but still won't shut off. Any ideas what's causing this? Thanks. Frank

I have a Kenmore bottom drawer freezer. Compressor is running, but the freezer fan is not blowing. Evaporator coils frost normally. The fan spins manually so no blockage. Fan tests ok for pulling ohms, and the plug for the fan is pulling voltage. Freezer gets to about 25° and icemaker is working properly in all respects. Do you think I have a bad motor in the freezer fan?

I have a frgidaire upright freezer model FFU14F5HWN serial WB13761439. Digital temp control is on the outside of the door. The outlet that it is plugged into was knocked out for a couple of hours. After restoring power to the outlet, the freezer would not turn on and is not running at this time. Temp control says "H". What should I do?

Our upright Frigidaire stops working at times. Unplugged it and plugged it in again and it started working. We changed outlets but it still will stop at times and not come back on until we recycle the power. Any suggestions as to what is causing this?

Hi, I have a Magic Chef Deep freeze, my problem is that the freezer does get nice and cool it wont freeze my food.. however in saying that last night, i thought I will try this, i put a package of weinners in it..and a few hours later it was frozen.. I was so happy that it was working ...off to bed I go, only to wake up to find they were thawed out..but the freezer always remains very cool, , , but does not FREEZE..OH ME NERVES...it is still plugged in nice and cool but again not freezing, , it also has a fast freeze on it.. to cook the freezer before putting your food in it..
