Back when i lived near the state line the deal was they can hunt the 10 acres of princes pine swamp in a gully for the cost of a leg. Essentially hunters drove deer into it from the state land so it was like fish in a barrel

and i just made the deal with the land owner that ill give them 50% of the meat and i keep everything else
all of em are really happy with it and also dont give a shit about the money they happy for free meat ready to cook

Honestly my dad has a deal with the local hunters where they can hunt anything thats on his land only if he gets to choose what end of the animal he keeps (its usually the rear end)

Out here in oklahoma we got a lot of farm land and we dont hunt deer so we named a buck big mike about 6 years ago and just this last rifle season 2024 the guy that pays us to hunt finally got him and he weighted in just under 300 without the head and he was only a 13 point with 2in tines
