You just have to do one thing
Note down the route shown in Paytm or any other third party app and then book your ticket from IRCTC on same route and just change your boarding station

For booking ticket on UTS, I think you need to stay at some distance away from the source station otherwise it doesn't book.

Response for Rail madad app service is superb. Me travelling from Delhi to Ujjain, complaint about the washroom, the problem was taken care of on the very next station and got a call from the customer care to confirm.

There is a 2 station rule which says that if passenger doesn't board train within 2 stations from booked station then TC can give the seat to someone else

The 1st truck isn't even a trick, you can do the same with railway website by selecting starting and ending station and boarding station. They are always confirmed

Why can't all these things can be clubbed into single app like a Paytm or phonepe where multiple services are provided??
Indian Railways need to reduce the apps and help customers to remove confusion by multiple number of apps.
Hope in future there will be single app to resolve all the issues.

Please don't book through the first way on tickets it is clearly shown boarding from that station only if you fail to do so then TC will cancel your ticket as soon as the first station passes

There is a rule where you cannot board at different point from the one you have booked. Idk how paytm is doing it. You can change boarding point minimum 24 hours before travel I believe. Paytm might be using this loophole to confirm ticket.

How is it possible that a seat is not available from prayagraj but is available from patna (which is a previous station).. ? The only reason i can find is the railway's ticketing algorithm is flawed..
