So you can't use the worth Authoritative when it comes to the bible.
The implied Authority is god,
Since its not his word it has no Authority.

You can use the bible for other things.
But you cannot use it for
1. Stating god's word
2. Historical Fact

but it does have other decent lessons in it, but really...
Most people use it as a definitive manual for knowing god's word.
it is certainly not that and treating it as such. if hell exists, Means the christian that follows it IS DEFINITELY GOING TO HELL because following a word other than god's word gets you sent to hell.
