Volvo XC90 V8 Off Road - DSTC Demonstration

Once again, at Peter’s Mill over the weekend. Trying a harder line to put DSTC Traction Control to the test in my 2010 Volvo XC90 V8. Works decent, but I would love it to be more aggressive at locking up wheels.

It's hard for me to believe that Volvo is rocking 285/70 all terrain tires! When in mine I'm barely fitting 245/70 haha

Never have traction on whilst driving on this terrain

I like My 2008 Volvo just the way it is . The 4 wheel drive is to assist traction in mud and snow condition’s on roads easily drivable in dry conditions. I do not believe that the drivetrain’s on many of these type of vehicles are designed to take the abuse that can cripple even a stouter vehicle built with this use in mind. Some people are determined to convert them into open air top off and cabover’s . Thats what happen’s when You get cocky. You may end up having to service tow truck driver’s to even have them think about recovering your vehicle. While You are walking out of the wilderness where the wrecked or stranded vehicle is left Human Vultures will descend on it like locusts stripping it of parts and perhaps You too of clothing and dignity if You linger there too long. Like Deliverance. You can become a Dasher Too trying to hide Your nakedness while ooching and ouching over sharp rocks in bare feet. Contemplate that!

I thought your Sutton turn off DSTC when going off road

We have an XC90 and a Toyota FJ Cruiser. Not sure I would trust the Volvo TC to go rock crawling🫣

I hate DSTC in my S80. The best of I can't disable it with the buttom, just if I remove the fuse.

My 2001 s80 t6 was nasty crazy awd System my 2006 s60r was 10x better never owned a xc90t6 just drove basemodle it’s been 10 plus years since my last Volvo purchase
