The way of the master can save no one bc its a false "conditional" gospel that frustrates the grace of God. Here is the Biblical way to salvation.

Ray is sincere and his doctrine is sound. The fact that, every weekend he bikes to the boardwalk and preaches in front of crowds, or wanders to find people to talk with one-on-one for fourty years without condemnation, but respect and genuine concern for them, to try and show others to Christ, is admirable and inspiring. Watching his clips I see that he uses the Law to convict those who do not know of Christ, or those in works-based religions to "repent and turn to Christ for salvation." As one of his co-hosts Mark Pence said (paraphrased), "salvation won't make you sinless in your life, but it will make you sin-less" this is alluding to 1 John 2:1
They are bringing people daily to Christ. It is Christ who then drives us daily to sin-less. I believe the reason Ray, Billy Graham, D.L. Moody, Ravenhill, Spurgeon, C.S. Lewis, John Piper, A. W. Tozer and many others all put such emphasis on repentance is to show the "unrepentant sinner" that if you are just giving Christ lip service out of family tradition, a hope for worldy rewards, or a fear of hell or death, but really you just want a "get out of jail free" card to cover your bases while you continue sinning without any desire to change, then you are not fooling God.
Those convicted in the light of the Law though, those who genuinely turn to Christ, won't be free of the temptations or deceptions of sin. They will be fighting it their whole lives (Satan even tried tempting Christ one last time on the cross) By the very act of desiring to be free of our sins in this life, and feeling that shameful guilt when we do fall to sin, we show that we have that Spirit weighing on our conscience, since we are new creatures in Christ. As the Apostle Paul put it in Romans 7:15, 'I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate [to do] I do.'
Ray is not giving emphasis of repentance to the saved, but to those still bound to sin without Christ in their life. He is evangelizing to those apart from God.

I should add too that those who do comprehend just how wicked the hearts of mankind can become(Gen. 6:5), and the fact that there is nothing we can do to wash it away on our own, come to fully realize the full weight of what God has done for us. Such incredible Love does truly become a spring of living water that makes us not want to lash out at our brothers and sisters with our own convictions, but rather makes us want to spread the Good News everywhere and anyway we are able. A gift so freely given must be graciously (and respectfully) shared with all, not hidden away just for ourselves (Matt. 25:18)

May the Lord bless and keep you.

The only ones who have true salvation are the ones who repent from their sins. This is a work of the Holy Spirit and not a prerequisite for justification but it is the proof that you belong to him, without which one is still only hearing and agreeing. Scripture says "it's good that you believe that there is only one God, for even the demons believe and tremble." Without true conversion which is marked by a repentant and contrite heart, which can only be given through salvation by the Holy Spirit, our experience would be no different and no better than the experience of devils. It also says in Scripture "you will know a tree by its fruits. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit and a bad tree cannot produce good fruit." Hearing and knowing truth is good, but as it says in James that "works without faith is dead, and faith without works is dead." You are not saved by works at all, but if you do not have a constantly repentant and contrite heart, it shows that you do not love the Lord. Jesus said "if you love me, keep my commandments", and what was the most common thing Jesus started out saying? "Repent! for the kingdom of heaven is at hand" may I suggest, madam, that you should not be a teacher of God's word.

Ray Comfort showed me that I was "self-righteous" in my belief. I always questioned and felt guilty about not want to share Jesus, not helping others and loving them like I should. After Ray's sermon, the scales fell off my eyes. I burst into tears and fell to the ground in front of a Holy God and begged for his forgiveness. Since then I love more, I do more and I am in the Word. I am so sorry of how I judged others. I can't say I'm there 100% but I ask and pray for God to reveal to me what I need to repent of and it all flashes in front of me; things 20-30 years ago. Praise God. Do not dismiss Ray Comfort's approach. He is in fire for God!!

The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel." Repentance and faith go together because if you believe that Jesus is the Lord Who saves (faith), you have a changed mind about your sin and your self (repentance); and if you repent, it's because you trust that Jesus is the Lord Who saves. Mark 1:15

“But if a wicked person turns away from all his sins that he has committed and keeps all my statutes and does what is just and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. None of the transgressions that he has committed shall be remembered against him; for the righteousness that he has done he shall live. Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord God, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live?

Ezekiel 18:21-23

1st. I preached with Ray Comfort back in 2002-03 in Santa Monica on 3rd St Promenade open air. This was before he got together with Kirk Cameron and their ministry got popular.

2nd. I know first hand seeing behind the scenes at his ministry building in Bellflower, Ca.

3rd. Ray Comfort plays semantics with his words. In one sentence, he'll say that a person MUST repent and turn from their sins. Then he declares that a person is saved by faith; Which is it?
because it can't be both.
And it is clear that he says both.

As I said, I had first hand experience with him. Not going on here say.

The thief on the cross couldn't turn from his sins, as Ray is describing. All the thief could do is believe on the Lord and trust in him as the Messiah.

Biblical repentance is a change of mind to a change of heart that leads to a change in actions; turning from every false idea and trusting completely on Jesus Christ (God in the flesh) shedding his blood on Calvary's cross for the remission of our sin... PERIOD!

When Jesus saved my life, I naturally wanted to stop sinning and to live a pleasing life that glorifies the amazing God that saved my life. If someone would have told me before I was saved that I first needed to clean up my life and that I must live holy and also believe in Christ, I would probably be overwhelmed trying to not mess up and I might have never come to a saving faith because I would have been to focused on me and not the finished work of Christ.

For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death. (2 Corinthians 7:10, ESV)

I became christian about 4 years ago (baptised), but then I backslid and I went back into a sinful lifestyle including not believing anymore (or forgetting about God), I went to other religions teachings to have meaning in life and here I am today I know what I am doing is wrong but I want to get back to God again and I don't know if I was even saved in the first place..

As a woman who has felt neglect and rejected, Jesus did fill in and met my hearts needs. I was using Jesus to feel good and look good. I did not believe for the understanding of salvation - that I am violating the Almighty God. Thank you Ray Comfort!!

Amen sister Renee Roland. I make comments on Ray Comfort's videos all the time. He makes it sound so legitimate, but he's dead wrong on the gospel.

if you're really saved you won't want to continue turning tricks and staying a drunkard. we should not be like a dog returning to its vomit says in Proverbs. if you're going to teach don't leave out scripture for your own benefit

Jesus speaks of repentance all the time. Even before Jesus's time John the Baptist comes preparing the way for Jesus with a message of repentance. The message is seeing your sin causes us to see our need for a savior.

From that time Jesus began to preach, saying,  “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 4:17)

I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance. (Luke 5:32)

The men of Nineveh will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it,  for they repented at the preaching of Jonah,  and behold, something greater than Jonah is here.(Matthew 12:41)

Unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. (Luke 13:3,  5)

We are saved 100% by grace. Through faith, in Christ. We can do zero to earn salvation. God is the one that opens our eyes to our sin and helps us repent.

Your are right on!!! Keep sharing the truth dear Sister. We were warned in the book of Jude, that in the end time they would go in the way of Cain ...in other words, "going about establishing their own ideas of righteousness, they Forfeit the righteousness of Christ."

1st Corinthians 7:10 New International Version (NIV)

Godly sorrow brings repentance that "leads to salvation" and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.

I know that's the truth. I used to watch their show some years back and I noticed that something's not right with this. Then I realized that they teach faith plus works doctrine when the bible tells us that it is by God's grace we are saved by faith alone in Christ alone. (Ephesians 2:8-9) I even exposed their teaching as well because they're preaching another gospel or another jesus which we have not preach. (2 Corinthians 11:3-4) Good video and God bless.

Why does Jesus tell people to go and sin NO MORE... How do we sin NO MORE if we just have faith and believe... Don't we have to live a moral life??? We will not be sin less... But we do have an advocate... We definitely have to turn from sin... Won't be sin less... But we must trust as WE TURN from sin it shows our trust...
