It's funny you should show this now, it's what I've been thinking of doing to my 2009 Speedmaster. I've only just found out that you can get Norton Featherbed frames for a modern Triumph. It's not a new idea though, we used to have 'Tritons' back in the seventies. They've done a cracking job :)

Triumph engine into a featherbed frame isn't new, they were doing that in the 60's!

Better looking than the Thruxton in my opinion. Good job, well done!

Hi, I’m in the UK, been given an Xj900f (pre diversion) and am inspired by what you do. I’m really struggling on working out a tank to suit, want something flat bottomed or slight curve as original looks naff and I want the cafe racer look. Any suggestions as to what to look for, I’m fine with the engineering but wary of used tanks with cutting gear etc so would prefer something that’s a close fit. Love the work you do.

Saw Dime city in the US on Discovery a while back, hope that's you and not copy kat? still going in the USA I hope. Observation : Dellorto pumpers! Old school, no Mikunis, close!

Odd, I have one of each a “new” Bonneville and my ‘74 920 (ex 850) Commando. Problem is the Norton’s trick engine puts out more power

Do you still hide the dime on the bike, I hope so, sometimes stuff keeps you focussed on the important and the real gets away from you. So much to do and so little time! Stay cool, and if you need a Dick van Dyke voice-over, I could do that guvner!

The modern bonny engine will not fit in a norton frame. It must be a one off frame so not a Triton. But a triumph engined custom

A standard 60's bonnie, 250cc less has 50 hp. So in motorcycle evolution, this is heavier and slower. I wonder what Meriden would have built today, theme bikes or kept racing. nobody has done a comparison of a real Thruxton machine over the badged theme bike of today.
